About the Wildflower PAC

Wildflower Nelson Parent Advisory Council

When We Meet

Wildflower Nelson PAC meetings are typically held on the second Tuesday of each month (with the exception of December), beginning at 3 p.m., either in person outside in the Wildflower Garden (weather permitting) or inside at the library.

You can always check our calendar for specific dates.

Come to our meetings to:

  • learn about what’s happening in the school

  • give input and feedback

  • support PAC initiatives of your choice (no obligation)

  • voice your suggestions, recommendations, concerns

  • meet other parents

  • hear the principal report

  • help keep our PAC strong

Come with your kids (they can hang out in the gym with added supervision from assigned middle school kids if/when meetings are held inside).

We always finish on time and keep meetings concise!

What Does PAC Do?

While this list defines our role (it's from the BCPAC constitution), the PAC is really so much more and of vital importance to our school!

Parent participation is what makes the community of Wildflower inclusive and diverse in its offerings, please consider joining a meeting to offer suggestions, ideas, and feedback, or to volunteer for any of our yearly events.

Communication

We foster a good working relationship and open communication between teachers, staff, administration, and parents of all pupils both during and after school.

Extra-curricular

We organize and coordinate extra-curricular activities for the students/families as mutually agreed upon by PAC and the staff.

Fundraising

We earn money for the purpose of items deemed to be a desirable asset to the school, staff, and/or children that are not otherwise supplied by the school district.

Parent Support

We help parents understand various programs and policies of the school and to provide input and advice to the staff and administration where beneficial. To act as a liaison between the community and the school.

If you’d like more information about what we do or want to join, we welcome you!
