It Takes a Village: Help Make This Year's Family Fun Night a Success!
Dear Wildflower School Community,
For the past two years, our Family Fun Night has been an incredible success and a highlight of the school year for our students.
The smiles, laughter, and community spirit that filled our school during these events created memories that our kids still talk about today.
But as we look ahead to this year's Family Fun Night fundraiser, we find ourselves at a crossroads.

The Heart of Our Community Events
Family Fun Night has quickly become one of our students' favorite events of the year. When asked about their most memorable school experiences, Wildflower students consistently mention this special evening with enthusiasm and joy.
The activities, the games, the food, and most importantly, the chance to enjoy our school community in a relaxed, fun-filled environment has created a tradition our children cherish.
But here's the reality: events like these don't happen by magic.
They take planning, coordination, and dedicated volunteers who are willing to give their time and energy to create these experiences for our children.

A Call to Our Village
As the saying goes, "It takes a village to raise a child." At Wildflower School, we truly believe in the power of our community to create extraordinary experiences for our students.
Right now, that village needs to step forward.
We urgently need at least two parent volunteers to lead this year's Family Fun Night.
Without these lead volunteers, we simply cannot make this beloved event happen.
The good news? Marika, who successfully ran the event for the past two years, has generously offered to help transition all the necessary information to new volunteers.
You won't be starting from scratch! Additionally, our middle school leadership students are eager to support the event in significant ways, but they still need parent leadership to guide them.
Tentative dates for the event are late February or early March, so there's time to plan!

No Experience Necessary!
We warmly welcome new parents to take on this role.
The PAC will provide support and guidance throughout the process, and previous organizers will share their insights and experience.
This is a wonderful opportunity to:
Get involved in your kid's school community
Meet other parents and staff
Make a direct, positive impact on our students' experience
Create memories that your own children will cherish
DETAILS YOU MIGHT BE WONDERING ABOUT:
Two lead parent volunteers would take on the following tasks:
Sourcing local fundraising items for the silent auction
Organizing games (free and ticketed)
Organizing food for sale (parent volunteers donating food, baked goods, etc)
Organizing middle school leadership student roles
Organizing additional parent volunteers (maybe 2 or 3 more total) for set up and breakdown of the event
Organizing minor details (tickets, silent auction sheets, cash/balance, etc)
Approximately a total of 10-12 hours of time plus attending the event (from now to the date of the event, so less than 1 hour per week)

The Stakes Are High
We must be honest: without parent volunteers stepping up to lead key initiatives like Family Fun Night, many of our vibrant extracurricular activities and special events simply cannot run.
These events are what make our school community special, creating the memorable experiences that our kids carry with them beyond the classroom.
These opportunities for fun, connection, and school spirit are an essential part of what makes Wildflower School such a special place. But they only exist because parents like you make them happen.

Ready to Be Part of Something Special?
While we haven't set a specific date yet, we're aiming for the end of February for this year's Family Fun Night. This gives our volunteer team plenty of time to plan and organize an amazing event!
If you're interested in being one of our lead volunteers for Family Fun Night, or if you have questions about what the role entails, please connect with Martine, our PAC Chair, as soon as possible.
Your contribution will make a direct and meaningful difference in our school community.
